Before boarding at Ogilvie, select official dated UP-West trains arriving Geneva by 10:30 and leaving at or after 17:30, each shown at 180 minutes or less. Confirm fare, alerts, and a live Google Maps walking or bicycling route to Fabyan that is lawful, no more than 30 minutes each way, and has no safety or closure warning.

Fabyan Forest Preserve has Route 25 and Route 31 entrances, parking, ADA-accessible trails, and daily sunrise-to-sunset preserve hours. Its Villa, Japanese Garden, and Windmill have public visiting hours but require a same-day check. The known two-person subtotal is a $70–$150 food allowance only; rail, last mile, parking, tax, gratuity, alcohol, and optional purchases are excluded. If any gate fails, defer.
